In making my normal pre-tournament rounds of the inter webs I’ve come across multiple articles on Brandt Snedeker’s new diet. Get this, he has cut out soda and fast food! Can you believe it?! Talk about discipline! I get it, he is the defending champ at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am and the conventional media outlets feel the need to come up with something to report about him. And since he’s been struggling to regain his form, they’re grasping at straws to identify a topic to cover, but please spare me from this nonsense. The brittle boned Snedeker has dealt with more injuries than your typical 33 year old, including two hip surgeries that resulted from his rare bone condition, but to report on this information as some sort of revelation is laughable and quite frankly, lazy. It may be true that I spend a bit too much of the little spare time I have reading golf articles, but is it too much to ask to be provided with something worth reading?
